March Speaker Bios

Robert “Bodie” D’Andrea Jr.

Bodie is a native of Pinellas County. He graduated from Keswick Christian High School (Class of 1983) and

attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. He has also attended St. Petersburg College and holds

a Bachelor of Science degree (Cum Laude) in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University.

While serving as associate pastor in Clearwater, Fl. in 1988, Bodie completed the police academy at

Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute. He felt God lead him to community service and went on to serve

28 yrs in full time law enforcement. He rose through the ranks and retired from the Pinellas County

Sheriff’s Office as a patrol Lieutenant.


During his law enforcement career, he was a department armorer, hostage negotiator team leader,

critical incident stress management team leader, full time trainer as well as other positions within the

agency. He served as adjunct instructor at St. Petersburg College, Hillsborough Community College and

the Multijurisdictional Counter Drug Task Force Trainer. He taught at the police academy for

approximately 10 yrs and has had articles written about him in trade publications. Bodie continues to

serve as a certified Reserve Deputy and has 35 yrs total Law Enforcement.


In 1993 Bodie joined the US Navy reserve and retired in 2023 holding the rank of Master Chief Petty

Officer. Bodie has received numerous personal and unit awards. He has been deployed to Kuwait, Iraq

and Guantanamo Bay Cuba. He has also been to Bahrain and Crete Greece as well as all across the US.

Bodie’s last assignment was to Maritime Security Squadron 10 out of Jacksonville, Fl. and he retired

March 1 st 2023 with 30 years of continuous honorable service.


Bodie is the past president of the Pinellas County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge and recently resigned

as chaplain after more than 10 years in that position. He served on the executive board for the Regional

CISM Team. Additionally he sits on the school advisory council for Pinellas Technical College and their

electrical apprenticeship program. He has previously served on the Homeland Security curriculum

committee of Kaiser University. He is the secretary/treasurer of the Christian Television Network and

the station manager of WCLF TV 22 & WYKE TV 47. He is President of D’Andrea Electric, Inc as a 2 nd

generation electrician. He holds an unlimited Electrical Contractor’s license with the state of Florida.

Bodie is happily married to his lovely wife Michele with 3 beautiful daughters, a son & 2 grandchildren.
